Textbooks

Sorry for the long blog-pause. The fall term teaching really did me in.

At least some lessons seem to have sunk in, for I am guessing one of my students commented on this article in the Utah Daily Chronicle:

I see some parallels between the textbook industry and the pharmaceutical industry. What do you think?

Textbooks = Ambien in paper form.

I love that the students comment is almost verbatim what you said in class at the beginning of the semester. Which is funny because as soon as I saw the title of the link to the article, I thought the same thing.
